Cylinder base spacer for Honda vertical engine
This Spacer is necessary for engine overhauls such as CB50, XE50, TL50, XL50, R&P, etc.
By installing this spacer between the cylinder and the base gasket, you can use the metal head
gasket (12251-GEY-003) for APE50.
When the old 6v point ignition vertical engine became a 12v CDI, the gasket thickness became
0.8mm thinner due to changes in the material and dimensions of the head gasket, and it became
a metal gasket instead of a paper (asbestos?) + steel ring.
As a result, the height of the cylinder became 0.8mm longer in the 12v CDI.
However, the head gasket for 50cc, 12251-149-000, is already out of production.
The 12251-GN1-880 for 75cc and 80cc will also be out of production soon.
When using with 75/80cc, please use head gasket 12251-GN1-731.
