Hi friends,
concerning my old SS50 carburator I see 3 options:
a) Buy a complete gasket kit with needle valve, clean and reinstall the original carburator: costs about 22 Euros or so
b) buy an new SS/CD replika carb for about 65 Euros- can't find the shop anymore.
c) buy a 20mm straight flange admission pipe (as opposite to the SS/CD diagonal flange) and fit a Walbro or Shenway chinese carburator for 15 + 70Euros
As I play with the idea of mounting my Jinchen 86cc engine onto the SS the 3rd idea seems to be most appealing to me, what's your opinion?
Greetings from the land of the Bofferding and Diekirch beer, Gabby.

Diekirch, Luxemburg!
with those hills in Luxemburg I think it would be easier to have some more power, so fitting a bigger engine would really get you up the hill combined with option C
however, the easiest option is A, and it stays original
ofzo!

indeed!
everything you need is in it, or even more !
your old carb is much better than a brand new replica.
Gaat het niet zoals het moet, dan moet het maar zoals het gaat!
